I would imagine that the Ecoboost can do a burnout, right? I've never owned a car that can smoke the tires.

Throttle + Clutch
Release Clutch
Apply Brake
Burnout.
In all seriousness though I am just not a fan of electronic intervention. Although in hindsight I'm not sure how difficult burnouts are in the autos.
I'm assuming this will disable traction control, lock the front brakes, and set a rev limiter so you don't fry the engine.
In my opinion (which is not fact) they aren't hard enough to do to warrant an entire mode.

If the rumored 300+ hp and torque are true I would imagine it'd be no problem. Those numbers are better than the 2005-2010 V8

So don't turn it on.

it's the next logical step from the stupid automatic rev matching bullshit.

What have you been driving?
I once did a burnout in a base Mazda5, much to my surprise at the time.

A factory built in switch to lock the front brakes? Pretty sweet if you ask me. The rear brakes will last a lot longer.

My Bronco could probably have done it, but I didn't want to break it. The power steering shit out on me doing donuts in the rain. My 94 Altima was a piece of crap and would absolutely have broken had I tried. The Focus could do it in the wet. The Dart probably can do it, but I don't want to beat on her like that.

You do have a point. It's crazy to think that the 2.3 basically has more power than the 3V 4.6L.

To be fair that 4.6L engine was first introduced in 1991

Tired of having to learn how to do fun tricks in your car? Just wait for the automakers to make it easier for you!
"Drift mode" automatically kicks the clutch at random moments
"E-brake turn mode" automatically disengages the clutch when you pull the handbrake

So was I!
Apples to oranges, but my 1.4L dates back to 1985 and makes 114hp/L if my math is right.
